Comments about oreilly Getting Started with Netduino:

I used this book to start on my netduino 3 R&D project for work, I found it very helpful in getting started with basic programs. Especially since I had no previous C# experience, only C++ and assembly language. I would recommend it to anyone to get started with the netduino plus or netduino 3. I emphasize "to get started" book helps you out as titled.

    Badly out of date.
Hard to understand why this book is still offered. The content is really no longer of any use.

Comments about oreilly Getting Started with Netduino:

Unlike the negative reviews below, this book works fine. Make sure to have the Netduino Plus 2 updated to the latest Firmware.
Otherwise this book is good as well as accurate. I was able to build all projects using VS 2013 and the Micro Framework SDK no problem.

In the future, I challenge the negative reviewer to give specific problems with the hardware.

The book is straight forward. I really recommend to who want to be introduced to NetDuino World

There are some compiler errors (not a big deal): The framework when the book was written was updated and you need to adapt the sample.
