Comments about oreilly Learning Perl Student Workbook, 2nd Edition:

This is a typical workbook that accompanies the lectures. You will find here lots of exercises related to Perl. Some of them are real brain teasers, some of them intend to show you some particular feature of Perl and some of them are just there – they don't require too much effort to solve.

When it comes to the complexity of puzzles, I think that advanced Perl developers will find this book much to easy. This is because examples are based on topics you have probably faced already in you Perl development. However, the title says it's purpose is to teach perl. And this is the place it fit bests. If you are new to Perl, solving the issues may save your time in future. Patterns found here are typical for a programming day to day routine.

The great benefit of the book lays in the solutions (they consume roughly two-thirds of the book!). And this is the point. If you don't know the answer you get complete explanation as a means of consolation.

The price is tempting as well. In fact I have bought the book with an idea behind that 4$ is not that much after all if it turns out that I wasted money. Hopefully, it was the other way round.
