Comments about oreilly Active Directory, 5th Edition:

Every time I get a book like this, I expect the authors will finally realize that most computer systems are 10-20 users with a server. They all gear their books to enterprises, which is overkill, and forget about the 90% who don't have a forest with dozens or hundreds of servers. So no, this book doesn't scale to the average guy. It's probably all accurate as far as I can tell, but I only need a small fraction of the information presented. It generally addresses only the last version of AD, and that's not what I'm using. Only a cursory nod to previous versions. It didn't help me solve my problems.

Comments about oreilly Active Directory, 5th Edition:

This book is great as both a reference and to learn more about Active Directory. I've had some experience with AD, but not the depth of experience that the book goes in to. I highly recommend this book to be able to focus on different aspects of AD as a reference point and then to be able to read through the book to learn about designing, deploying, and running AD.

Comments about oreilly Active Directory, 5th Edition:

This book taught me a lot about how directory services work on the inside, and has enabled me to become a foremost authority on it at work.

I highly recommend it to anyone who has to work with Active Directory, ADUC, and even powershell to process requests with AD.
