    Comments about oreilly Enterprise Search:

This book is a good introduction to common pitfalls and things to consider when defining an Enterprise Search solution. It does a very good job in explaining how Enterprise Search is different from the everyday web search we all are so accustomed to.

This book is more of an overview type of book than a comprehensive guide. It does list all the main topics and technologies to consider, but it does not go into too much detail for each of them.

It is neither too technical nor to long, and in my opinion it is a must read for everyone involved in planning, designing and/or coming up with requirements for an Enterprise Search system.
