Leverage open source and innovation in the Java ecosystem
Ready to dive into Java EE 7, tackle cloud computing with Akka, or learn concurrent programming techniques? This complete video compilation includes more than a dozen sessions from OSCON 2012’s Java and JVM track. You’ll get tips and techniques from experts such as Arun Gupta (Oracle), Tim Berglund (August Technology Group), Jim Baker (Canonical), and many more.
Download the videos or view them through our HD player, and discover how Java, JVM languages, and open source work together. Here are just a few of the sessions you’ll receive in this video package:

Comments about oreilly Java and JVM at OSCON 2012:
The quality of the recordings is top notch, high definition. I can read every word on the slides. The material is cutting edge. I have been stuck in a rut consulting for a Bank that only uses Java on occasion. As a result, my knowledge of the latest trends in technologies that involve the JVM besides Java has been lacking. I have learned quite a lot from these videos and I love the fact that I can rewind and play again.
My only gripe is that when deciding whether to stay on the slide projected on the screen or showing the presenter standing at the podium, too often the presenter is shown. A slide will be flashed briefly, then we are back looking at the presenter. Often, the presenter is explicitly pointing at the screen and discussing the points on there, and yet whoever edited the video still does not switch back to the slide. Fortunately, I own the videos, so I rewind back to the slide, study it, then resume listening to the presenter.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
