Comments about oreilly Head First PMP, 3rd Edition:

Trying to cram information form the PMBOK into my brain just was not working. After reading the reviews I thought I would give this book a try. Glad I did. Yes, this book is written a little different but very well suited to my learning style. It needs to read in conjunction with the PMBOK to cement the ideas. And I did pass the PMP. Thank you.

Comments about oreilly Head First PMP, 3rd Edition:

I am taking a PMP training course, and was having a problem with some of the concepts. The instructor suggested that I was more of a visualization person, and that I needed to read Head First PMP. He was right, because this is an easy read for a dry topic. I could not fully understand the 47 process groups or ITTOS. Coupled with Rita McCauley's PMP Exam Prep 8th ed and PMBOK 5th ed - I feel confident about taking the exam. This book makes everything clear, with lots of pictures and examples.

Comments about oreilly Head First PMP, 3rd Edition:

I first started to read the PMBOK and I kept having to read the same stuff over and over, and still couldn't get it! I was told about Head First from a friend who said it had helped him, (and he had passed the exam) he had version 2. I've really enjoyed reading it, and the examples are really helpful. Sometimes on the iPad the diagrams are really small or the light grayscale text a little tricky to read. But I would definitely recommend this book to anyone about to take a PMP exam prep course or prior to taking the PMP exam.

Comments about oreilly Head First PMP, 3rd Edition:

Trying to cram information into my brain just doesn't work. My mind likes to have "hooks" or ways to remember. This book was very well suited to my learning style. I had read the reviews about not being deep enough to help you pass, and it probably isn't if you don't read the PMBOK. But for me, these two books and the help and support of my family are what got me through the studying and certifying activities and I do appreciate it much! Thank you.

Comments about oreilly Head First PMP, 3rd Edition:

The principles of learning theory that went in to this series were exactly what I needed. Technical reading is typically boring, and uninspiring. But, Head First PMP provided the very detailed, technical information in ways that made it stick in my brain. I passed the exam on the first try. Thanks Head First!
