Comments about oreilly Ruby Cookbook, 2nd Edition:

I've got a hard copy of the 1st Edition published in 2007. It seemed a little dated so I bought the 2nd ed published in 4/2015. I regret wasting my money. A lot has changed in the mean time but the only change in the second edition seems to be a new 1st chapter exploring the difference between ruby 1.8 and 2.1. I should have known when there wasn't info describing 'What's new in this edition." I guess the authors are no longer excited about the mission of this book and have moved on to other projects. 99% of the useful info in this book can be found in a used copy of the 1st edition.
