Comments about oreilly ADO.NET 3.5 Cookbook, 2nd Edition:

This edition (Second - Mar 2008) covers ADO.NET very well including excellent sections on connecting to various data sources and working with data containers (data tables, data set, etc.) Overall, there are topics on making connections, selecting, updating, inserting data, working with data containers, working with XML, and integrating with SQL Server. Through out the book are useful sections on securing data connection strings, and optimizing connections. Additionally, there is a chapter on CLR integration and an appendix that covers changes in ADO.NET since version 1.0. This is a worthy reference for .NET programmers since most non-trivial projects require access to data sources. The most common issues seen in blogs and message boards are covered; often in the first chapters. ADO.NET Cookbook is a nice addition to the programmers library.

Comments about oreilly ADO.NET 3.5 Cookbook, 2nd Edition:

A rare find! This book is practical, and most example work as presented.

I have adapted the solutions provided to resolve "real" issues, as we are all aware we cant possibly keep up with all changes this book provides a simple, concise and pratical guide.
