Comments about oreilly Mercurial: The Definitive Guide:

The text in the book is well written. It is easy to read, and it is easy to become absorbed and fascinated. The books builds a solid understanding of how Mercurial works.

It is a bit disappointing that O'Reilly sells this ePub book, without telling the buyer in advance that it is available for free from the official Mercurial web site. (This is mentioned in the text of the book, so the reader will learn it.)

The book does not have the usual O'Reilly quality. There are many errors in the examples. (It is usually easy to figure out what the commands in the examples should be, so it does not render the book useless. Still it lowers the overall impression of the book.)

As a reader of the book one will of course wonder what new features have found the way into Mercurial since the book was published in 2009.
