Comments about O'Reilly Media Photoshop Elements 8 One-on-One:
The video and files cannot be downloaded. Many people have expressed this concern and O'Reilly has NOT addressed the problem. It's starting to sound like a scam to me!

Impossible Video access

Comments about O'Reilly Media Photoshop Elements 8 One-on-One:
Book seems as if it would be excellent if one could only access the necessary video. I did everything they suggested but still no go. I have now wasted 2 precious hours doing what should have been done in 5 minutes tops, but still no video. Maks me wonder how good O'Reilly and company could be if they can't make their video access not just simple, but possible.

Comments about O'Reilly Media Photoshop Elements 8 One-on-One:
Customer is expected to download samples. Trouble is when you go to download site, it's not there. Community blog indicates I'm not the only one with this problem. O'Reilly has done nothing to correct this problem nor to help the individual with problems. Book is worthless without the samples.

Comments about O'Reilly Media Photoshop Elements 8 One-on-One:
If you are a newcomer to using Photoshop, this is the book for you. Deke McClelland is one of the Photoshop gurus. Colleen Wheeler is a well known collaborator of Deke. Together, the book is everything the name implies, the book is one-on-one. Copious examples, clearly written instructions, and many illustrations combine to make this an excellent book.
Even for photographers familiar with earlier versions of Photoshop Elements, this is the book to use for learning about the new features of Photoshop Elements 8.
If I have one criticism it is that the usual CD of companion material that accompanied books on earlier versions of Photoshop was omitted. Now, one needs to download via the Internet this material to their computer. I'd rather have it on a CD that I can access directly and not need to add more files to my computer disk.
But, in summary, don't start using Photoshop Elements 8 without this book in hand.
