Tom Negrino is a book author and Contributing Editor to Macworld magazine. He has written three other books on Microsoft Office. He also co-authored the best-selling "JavaScript Visual Quickstart Guide, 4th Edition," as well as several other books on Quicken and Internet topics. Tom began his writing career in 1985 with MacGuide magazine, joining the Macworld ranks in 1987. He is a frequent speaker at Macworld Expo and other industry conferences, and is a member of the Web Standards Project’s Steering Committee. He now lives with his wife and son in Northern California’s wine country. Kirk McElhearn is a freelance technical writer, journalist and translator. He has written user manuals for many popular Macintosh programs, as well as technical documentation for Windows and Linux programs. As a journalist, he has written articles for a variety of publications, including the premier Macintosh e-zine TidBITS. And as a translator, he works for some of the world's leading computer and telecommunications companies. A native New Yorker, he has lived in France for almost two decades, and currently lives in Guillestre, a village in the French Alps. Kate Binder is a desktop publishing expert whose books include The Complete Idiot's Guide to Mac OS X, Easy Adobe Photoshop 6, and Teach Yourself QuarkXPress 4 in 14 Days. When she's not writing or editing books, she provides print and electronic production services to magazine, newspaper, Web, and book publishers. Her favorite Mac is her PowerBook 2400c, but she lives and dies by her very shiny G4 Power Mac. Kate lives and works in Nashua, New Hampshire, with her husband and partner, Don Fluckinger, and five retired racing greyhounds. |
