The book thus far is good. The companion CD is supposed to be avilable on-line but is not. I purchased to eBook from Barnes and Nobles to get the format I wanted, and the book takes me to Orielly for the CD. But it's not readily available.
Apparently you have to pay more to get the book from Orielly to get the CD.

I've been using SharePoint for 5 years. I like setting up new lists and sites to organize business data for my co-workers. I also develop solutions in Visual Studio to incorporate workflows which work accross sites. I have avoided SharePoint Designer because of the reluctance to unghost pages. By working through the steps of developing a SharePoint site with the Designer, I feel much more comfortable using the desinger to customize site design.
