Corrie Haffly graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in mathematics but found web design to be much more interesting. She created her first simple HTML page in 1998, then began working for Advantrics LLC in 2000. While there, she brought their PixelMill and John Galt's Templates brands to the top of the web site template market, handled customer support, and wrote volumes of tutorials. Corrie left full-time employment in 2004 and now enjoys working at home. She and her husband live in Davis.
Comments about oreilly Photoshop CS6 Unlocked, 2nd Edition:
This is the second edition of a title that has been very popular. The author notes "this book is primarily for web designers" and the content is about using Photoshop specifically for web design. With topics such as Creating Buttons, Creating Backgrounds, Manipulating Images, and Advanced Photoshop techniques this book delivers a very straightforward, easy to read and informative introductory/intermediate guide to Photoshop
The advanced section is a small part of this otherwise large read. With over 400 pages, most of which are dedicated to basics, this is a book that I would recommend to the introductory or possibly also intermediate Photoshop user.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
