Comments about oreilly Personal Productivity Secrets:

Personal Productivity Secrets is a very poor book. It takes ideas found in other similar books, then represents them in an unappealing and disordered manner.

The contents consists of a series of tips, or tricks sold in an grandiose manner. The word 'secrets' in the title reflects this well, as the book is more about cover than content.

Most of ideas in this book can be found in GTD by David Allen. The difference is that the ideas are presented haphazardly, where as GTD the ideas build upon one another with narrative to provide context.

I strongly recommend that you avoid this book.

This book explains and provide explanations why technology could not help in some situations to be more productive. What are the reasons why you might feel stressed and not creative. If GTD books explain great techniques, here you will find why might not work and how to make them work. Understand some daily situations and behaviors help to "make the change"
