Comments about oreilly Linux Bible, 8th Edition:

This is a large and comprehensive guide the Linux operating system from simple user to administrator.

I'm fairly new to Linux as a development environment and this goes in to as much detail as I need initially.

It has to be mentioned that some of the areas covered could have entire books written about them on their own - so their has to be some limit to level of detail a more general book like this can cover - but this is not just some slim volume of stuff you could easily google in half an hour.

Comments about oreilly Linux Bible, 8th Edition:

This book is by far the best I have read about Linux systems. It covers everything you need to know; from basic BASH, to controlling services, user management, and job control.

If you need an introduction to Linux, or are even moderately familiar with Linux, this book is a good buy.
