Comments about oreilly Professional Visual Studio 2012:

Visual Studio is deep and this book covers a good overview of what's available. It focuses on .NET development and the newer features that are available as well as the ones that have been around but are still useful today. Like other people have said, it doesn't cover every single little detail in Visual Studio but it does provide a very good tour with good examples. It mainly focuses on .NET development with C# and There is not a lot of material for C++ developers. Another downside is that many of the link references in the book are no longer available or out of date e.g. URLs, software products, etc. This can make it difficult to follow along.
On a good note, this book is really good for getting familiar very quickly with a part of Visual Studio that you're unfamiliar with and the examples will help you understand why you may want to use a certain feature, tool, project, etc.
