Java Foundation Classes in a Nutshell Review

Comments about oreilly Java Foundation Classes in a Nutshell:

This book is excellent.

Add this and Java in a Nutshell to your collection an you can sit down and begin some serious programming without the added hours of API lookup.

It is not a tutorial

It is just a reference and what a bloody good one.

Swing and the AWT are hard to visualise as packages but with the handy pictures you can finally get your GUI to take advantage of polymorphism.

I bought this and Java in a nutshell when beginning to learn java, they didn't help that much in the early days but 2 years later they are all I need.

Comments about oreilly Java Foundation Classes in a Nutshell:

This book is an Add-On to the Java In a Nutshell book. Most people would be best off to buy the above, this book, as well as Java Examples in a Nutshell.
