Comments about oreilly Developing RESTful Services with JAX-RS 2.0, WebSockets, and JSON:

I've been looking for a good tomb tying together new HTML5 technology with a Java backend. While this technically meets that goal, I can't recommend this book.

There are many errors that should have been caught by an editor - both technical typos and spelling/grammer. The writing style is rather poor, covering the basic material, but not doing a good job of explaining why or what other options exist. But my main criticism has to be the lack of depth. The topic is worthy of a good many more pages than this thin volume.

I am glad I picked this up on sale. I realize the publisher is Packt, not O'Reilly, but I'm still very disappointed. This book is not worthy of appearing on the O'Reilly store, who's books I have always been delighted with.
