Comments about oreilly Network Backup with Bacula How-To:

First of all, it is more or less a collection of configurations which can be more easily and cheaper found on various blog posts or even the official Bacula documentation. It describes very poorly what the different settings does. And it is not very comprehensive, being just some 40-50 pages long, mostly due to the configuration file examples.

In addition, those configuration file examples used in the book often doesn't work, contains syntax errors or even lacking configuration blocks needed to be consistent. Again, configuration files found on variuos blogs and the official Bacula website contains far better updated information.

This book is really not worth your time and money. I would even say this book on a borderline to fraud.

Comments about oreilly Network Backup with Bacula How-To:

The book had no troubleshooting techniques. No tape backup examples. I should have noticed it was only 42 pages long. You can learn much more from the bacula website. Disappointed.
