Developing a Redux Edge
By Johannes Lumpe, Karl Purkhardt, Art Muller, Darío Cravero, Ezekiel Chentnik
Publisher: Bleeding Edge Press
Final Release Date: August 2016
Pages: 209

This book is for anyone wanting to learn about Redux, a predictable state container for JavaScript apps. It is aimed at intermediate developers who have a good understanding of creating single page applications with JavaScript. Having an understanding of ES6, functional programming, and React will certainly help too, but isn’t necessary. If you want to follow along with the examples you should also know your way around a terminal, and know what Node and npm are, as well as having them installed and ready to use.

Comments about oreilly Developing a Redux Edge:

The earlier review pointed out some distribution issues, not the content of the book itself. I actually have this title, and it's a fine introduction to Redux, how to use it, and the concepts surrounding it.

For those who don't know about Redux, it's an add-on fast becoming synonymous with React. It is a state-management system that can be used with any javascript framework, though it was developed largely with React in mind. It has gained great popularity but hard documentation on its use has been hard to find. With this book, that need is filled.

      Disasterous promo

Comments about oreilly Developing a Redux Edge:

The 'search inside' link generates an error, and when you go to the publisher's website there is a link for a sample chapter which requires signup. Disasterous way to promote the book. And there are no amazon reviews. I'm a potential buyer of this, but have just thrown it out of the basket because there isn't even a decent TOC! Get yourself sorted bleeding edge!
